Sunday Lace

Like many weekends when you have a 4 year old, I spent part of it with other little ones running around, and on this particular day, throwing paint at each other. In other words, I was at a birthday party.

One of Holden's little buddies was turning 5 and had a paint splatter party. So basically the kiddos went into a closed off room and threw paint everywhere. Making art on a canvas and on themselves. Holden loved it and as much as I was still craving my pj's and morning toast, I never get tired of watching him have fun.

I try to dress comfy for these things because they are usually early, before coffee and louder than your typical peaceful Sunday morning. I love this sweater I recently picked up from Windsor. It's just as a comfortable as an old sweat shirt but the lace makes it feminine and stylish and a lot less like you're on your way to do laundry. Paired with my favourite new purchase (my Zara wedge sneakers!) I was comfortable enough to tackle an early morning birthday party and didn't have to do it in mom jeans and dansko! Oh goodness, and never will.

Here's little H painting it up. The colours were pretty amazing.
